Press Wall

Agency: Highness

Our direction for this ‘Office Etiquette’ Press Wall captured a professional work environment with elevated materials.

Shadow gaps divide up the walnut veneer panels to add dimension and frame corrugated plexi window panels, creating visual layers and bringing this wall further into the “office” visual vernacular. The cherry on this wall was the orange carpet that added a pop of fashion and really made this feel editorial.

      Services : Graphic Design

We were tasked with designing a visual campaign that tied PAM with the idea that everyone is an art person.

This direction killed due to rebrief*

Desscription: This direction utilizes subtley ornate framing system that pairs PAM collection art with our Everybody Is an Art Person campaign photography. This direction is about reimagining the values that we weigh to decide what is art and who is an artist. By pairing a 500 year old water color with a pair of the latest shoe drop we are speaking to equity amoung mediums. This imagery mixed with a clean type approach and fresh color palette makes this  direction an artful and conceptually unique approach.

In partnership with Rock+Paper and their team, I helped shape the float design but this year we were also tasked with nailing some campaign graphics that could be leveraged across social and in-store advertising. Our mission was to bring the rainbow to life in an unexpected way. I put forward a graphic direction that featured my unique piece of art inspired by the pools of Yosemite’s geyser. Conjuring a more organic and unexpected rainbow. Additionally, I helped design and form the floats shape and layout.

Services : Conceptual, Experiential, 3D Design

For the premiere of In Your Dreams, I was tasked with creating an in-world press wall experience that required me to not only explore materiality but also a custom color palette that spoke to the film. We ended up producing a dimensional wall that felt like stepping up to the entrance of the Sandman’s castle (a direct pull from the film). At the center, a glowing door was inset from the exterior of the wall, creating dimension and shadow so it would shine even at this daytime event.

A custom Sand Stone Spray finish was applied to dimensional blocks, giving the illusion of concrete sand shaped into mounds that hug the base of the wall.

For this project I was brought in to lead this project visually and also to execute a portion of the many assets that needed to be created with the Spotify campaign toolkit.

I worked intimately with our talented retoucher to create from scratch hundreds (and I mean hundreds) of linear feet of Chappell’s hair.

I personally built the final files for the train exterior wraps and interior cards.

Through logo, color, type and layout we brought a new face to Highness that better reflects the industry elevating work they do and pushes their business forward.

This is a direction I put forward for Caldera’s 2024 rebrand. Through mixing type and building duality into the color palette I told the story of the dual forces of Caldera, the “gentle DISRUPTOR”. I used a balanced color palette that plays with subtle duality between earth tone and a vibrant blue that gives this direction energy. The opposition in the serif vs sans creates a strong and unique voice that speaks to multiple audiences.

We created a functional design system for the Portland Art Museum to help promote the grand re-opening of our city’s beloved museum in 2025.

In support of the film campaign, this design system was designed by Molly Dyson to reflect the humanity and the energy of the PAM community. The type variation speaks to the spectrum of ‘art people’ and all their expessions.

I applied her system to packaging for PAM’s promotional collaborations. Including Smith Tea and Landmass Wines.
